Slot Details
The White Rabbit 2 slot has 5 reels and up to 16,807 ways to win in the base game. Using Big Time Gaming’s iconic Megaways mechanic, each reel can contain up to 7 symbols. The more symbols per reel, the more Megaways or ways to win. If all 5 reels contain 7 symbols each, you’ll benefit from 16,807 ways to win. Winning combinations are created by landing 3 or more matching symbols from left to right on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1. For the highest value symbol, 2 or more are required.
With a 20p minimum bet per spin, the maximum is £5 a spin in the UK (or £2 if under 25). Use the arrows in the ‘Stake’ box to change your bet. Non-UK players can use Autoplay (for up to 100 auto spins). There is also a Turbo Mode in the ‘Options’ tab (within the Paytable).
The White Rabbit 2 RTP rate is 96.36%, which is higher than the online slot average. Unfortunately, it doesn’t match up to the 97.24% RTP rate in the original White Rabbit Megaways. Anyway, BTG has produced a low RTP version of 94.15% which may be used at your chosen site (check within the Paytable).
Very high volatility, winning combinations will land every 1 in 4 spins as the hit frequency rate is 25%. In terms of win potential, White Rabbit 2 comes with 133,100 x bet max wins: this is significantly higher than the 17,420 x bet offered in the first game.
White Rabbit 2 Expert Review
Theme, Audio + Symbols

With a fairy tale theme, the White Rabbit 2 slot is the sequel to White Rabbit Megaways (released in October 2017). Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, you enter a topsy-turvy world in this much-anticipated sequel.
Almost identical to the original game, you head deep into an enchanted forest: it is filled by giant mushrooms and a castle towering in the background. Big Time Gaming has also kept the same soundtrack, which is soft and gentle.
On the reels, you’ll come across coloured A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 royals. The higher-value symbols include green, blue, red and purple gems: the purple gem symbol is the best paying, awarding 2, 5, 10 or 25 x bet for 2, 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
White Rabbit 2 also benefits from several special symbols: there is a Wild symbol that substitutes for all paying symbols above (and lands on all reels bar reel 1). Look out for Coins, Potion Scatters, Cupcakes and characters (which appear in the Hold and Spin feature). More info on these below.
White Rabbit 2 Mobile

White Rabbit 2 uses HTML5 technology. Adapting to desktop, mobile and tablet devices, it is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones, in Portrait Mode. With all the moving parts, I recommend a laptop or PC screen for the full experience.
Bonus Features
White Rabbit 2 has a Hold and Spin feature where you land Coins to win Bonus Prizes, Megapots prizes (up to 88,888 x bet) and Character modifiers. In the free spins, Extending Reels can lead to 248,832 ways to win.
Hold and Spin

The Hold and Spin feature is triggered by landing 6 or more Coin symbols. Beginning with 3 enchanted respins, each position becomes its own reel. Spinning to reveal Coins, they will contain Bonus Prizes, Characters or Megapots icons.
When a new Coin lands, your respins tally resets to 3. If you land 3 Megapots icons, you’ll win the corresponding Megapots prize. Filling the grid with Coins will see the feature end with the total prize doubled. Characters act as follows:
- White Rabbit: multiplies the value of 1 Bonus Prize up to 10x
- Alice: gains the value of all Bonus Prizes
- Red Queen: collects the value of all Bonus Prizes
- Cheshire Cat: reveals a prize up to 5 x bet and adds it to all Bonus Prizes
- Dodo: collects the value of all Bonus Prizes on that reel
- Mad Hatter: gains the value of 1 random Bonus Prize
- Evil Twins (Tweedledum and Tweedledee): awards 2 Bonus Prizes up to 20 x bet of the same value
Regarding Bonus Prizes, this depends on the number of symbols on each reel: up to 6 x bet for 2 or 3 symbol reels, Up to 2.75 x bet for 4 or 5 symbol reels or up to 1.5 x bet for 6+ symbol reels. If you land a Cupcake symbol, an extra symbol it added to the reel it appears on: the reels can extend up to a maximum of 7 symbols in the base game.
Megapots
The Megapots prizes can be won during the Hold and Spin feature only. With Mini, Midi and Mega Megapots showing above the reels, they contain random prizes that change on every respin:
- Mini Megapots: ranges from 100 to 300 x bet
- Midi Megapots: ranges from 1,000 to 8,888 x bet
- Mega Megapots: ranges from 20,888 to 88,888 x bet
The Megapots mechanic can be found in other Big Time Gaming slots like Christmas Megapots and Big Bucks Deluxe.
Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols will trigger the Free Spins feature with 12, 16 or 20 free spins, respectively. With the Scatter not appearing during the feature, you cannot win additional free spins traditionally.
More importantly, the free spins are played with Extending Reels: the reels can grow up to a maximum of 12 symbols per reel (with the Cupcake symbol). This can lead to 248,832 ways to win. When a reel reaches a maximum of 12 symbols, between 3 and 12 extra free spins are awarded. With up to 5 retriggers, this can lead to 60 extra free spins and 80 in total.
Bonus Buy
Available to non-UK players, you can buy your way into the main 2 bonus features in White Rabbit 2. Below are the details:
| Feature | Cost | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Hold and Spin | 35 x bet | 96.37% |
| Free Spins | 100 x bet | 96.37% |
Expert Verdict

White Rabbit 2 is a much-anticipated sequel with decent bonus features including Megapots prizes up to 88,888 x bet and free spins with extending reels. Despite the huge 133,100 x bet max win potential, it doesn’t have the same charm and magic of the iconic original.
To begin with, the White Rabbit 2 slot is one of the most highly-anticipated games ever, following the popularity of the original game. Heaping tonnes of pressure on Big Time Gaming, it’s been nearly 10 years since White Rabbit Megaways cemented its legacy.
Using the same graphics and soundtrack, fans of the iconic original will be pleased. In terms of the gameplay, there are no Caterpillar Wilds which offers multiplicative multipliers. This has been replaced by the Hold and Spin feature where the aim is to fill the reels with Coins.
Bonus Prizes are pretty standard but landing 3 Megapots icons can see you win prizes up to 88,888 x your total bet. More appealing are the Characters which multiply, collect and boost Bonus Prizes: I particularly like Alice (gaining the value of all Bonus Prizes) and the Cheshire Cat (awards a prize up to 5 x bet to all Bonus Prizes). The Cupcake symbol is also important as you can extend the reels for more Coins.
In the Free Spins feature, up to 12 symbols can appear on each reel, leading to up to 248,832 ways to win (as per the original game). The key is to trigger and Hold and Spin feature from the free spins as this will give you more positions to land Coins. In normal free spins play, retriggers can lead up to 60 extra free spins (75 in the original).
With 133,100 x bet max wins, White Rabbit 2 offers much higher win potential than the original (17,420 x bet max wins). On the other hand, the 96.35% RTP rate is significantly lower than the 97.24% offered in the first outing.
In summary, White Rabbit 2 takes you down the rabbit hole again with much bigger max win potential. However, I would have hoped that Big Time Gaming added something new and innovative in terms of bonus features to take this much-anticipated sequel to the level I think it deserves.
It is still a good slot game but doesn’t quite match up to the best slot sequels (like Relax Gaming’s Money Train 2 or NetEnt’s Starburst XXXtreme). Whilst I do like the Megapots prizes, it has been seen before so feels like it was thrown in to bolster the win potential. If you want more whimsical adventures, my guide to the best fairy tale-themed slots will do nicely.
