• Wanted Wilds: containing a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x, they substitute for paying symbols.
• Bounty Hunter Wilds: when they land, they expand to cover the entire reel, collecting multipliers from all Wanted Wilds on the reels.

If 2 or more Bounty Hunter Wilds land simultaneously, the one of the left collects the multipliers from Wanted Wilds, with the one of the right collect the multipliers from Wanted Wilds and from any Bounty Hunter Wilds on the left. Multipliers collected by Bounty Hunter Wilds are added together.

If 2 or more Bounty Hunter Wilds land on adjacent reels, the Bounty Hunter Wilds merge into 1 big wild, covering both reels: the sum of both multipliers becomes its multiplier.

If a Bonus Scatter lands during a base game spin, a re-spin is awarded (in the hope of a 3^rd Bonus Scatter landing). Dead or Alive 3: Wanted is different to its predecessors but has the potential for big wins if you the Bounty Hunter Wilds absorb Wanted Wilds’ multipliers. It does offer 2 max wins with 1 of them available if playing at an elevated bet.

When you fire up the Dead or Alive 3: Wanted slot, you’ll see a difference visually from its predecessors. With a more cinematic feel, the comic book-style visuals are gone as the 3^rd instalment is darker and edgier. I think Nolimit City’s influence is clear in terms of the graphics.

When it comes to the gameplay, NetEnt has gone in a different direction with this 3^rd game. With 2 different types of wild symbols, Wanted Wilds come with random multipliers up to 100x. Bounty Hunter Wilds expand to give you wild reels but, importantly, collect multipliers from all Wanted Wilds in view.

If you manage to see 2+ Bounty Hunter Wilds, they each collect Wanted Wilds’ multipliers with the one on the right collecting the multipliers from Wanted Wilds AND the other Bounty Hunter Wilds.

In the free spins and super free spins, I like that you can win a 2,500 x bet payout for 5 Bonus Scatters (like in the previous Dead or Alive slots). Once in, you benefit from sticky wilds and guaranteed Bounty Hunter Wilds on each free spin in the ‘Super’ version. Bounty Hunter Wilds, especially during the super free spins, can lead to huge wins as it collects Wanted Wild multipliers which continue to grow throughout the feature.

With 33,333 x bet max wins, you can actually win double that amount if you use one of the Elevator feature options. Costing 5 x your total bet per spin, the Wanted Wilds option sees multipliers between 5x and 100x. This allows for 66,666 x bet max win potential. That said, I would personally prefer that the double max win potential was available in standard play: it is available to UK players though.

In summary, Dead or Alive 3: Wanted is different to its predecessors in terms of visuals and bonus features. It’s not a sequel as such but the 2 different max wins is a problem for me and it’s also significantly lower than the 111,111.11 x bet max win potential offered in Dead or Alive 2. On the other hand, I do have to applaud NetEnt for going down a different route.
