Bookmakers are offering odds on Gareth Bale playing for Wrexham next season with the former Wales international flirting with the prospect on social media earlier this week.
Rob McElhenny kicked off the back and forth by posting a video on Twitter from Bale saying: "Hi Rob, just wanted to congratulate you on your promotion and everything you're doing at Wrexham."
McElhenny tagged Bale in the video offering a round of golf with the known golf enthusiast where he alluded to trying to convince the former Real Madrid and Tottenham man into "one last magical season."
The latest betting odds say there's a 14% chance that Bale will play for Wrexham in League Two next season as the club starts to prepare for life in the Football League after winning the National League this season.
