Kevin De Bruyne is towards the top of the betting market to win the Golden Ball for best player

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is the joint third favourite in the market to win the World Cup Golden Ball at this tournament.

The Golden Ball award is given to the player of the tournament and has been won in the past by Luka Modric and Lionel Messi.

It's Messi who is favourite once again for the award at 9/1, but Kevin De Bruyne is 12/1 alongside Neymar and Karim Benzema to win the award.

Kylian Mbappe is the 10/1 second favourite in a wide open award in terms of the betting market.
