As AI starts to creep into the mainstream even further with the recent release of GPT-4, bookies are starting to offer odds on AI to have an effect on more real-world situations.
The latest betting odds now are at 9/4 for AI to win a Pulitzer Prize by December 2024 with AI used previously as part of research for past Pulitzer Prize winners.
The Boston Globe used AI tool Pinpoint which lets you upload documents to search for names, places and more in that document and search that document for the correct data.
With this help the Globe received the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in Investigative Reporting and the AI's help on analysing documents in seven different languages was massive in this according to Google's The Keyword blog.
