Taylor Swift shortens further to be Spotify's Top Global artist for 2024
American singer Taylor Swift is now as short as 1/9 to be Spotify's Top Global Artist for 2024 with bookmakers continuing to offer odds on who will have the most streams on the platform when the year wraps up.
Swift was the most-streamed artist on Spotify last year with her 26.1 billion streams putting her ahead of Bad Bunny and The Weeknd in the overall list for 2023.
Fast forward nearly a year later and it looks likely that Swift will hit the top spot for the second year in-a-row with her latest album The Tortured Poets Department released earlier this year in April to huge popularity.
Paddy Power's latest odds have shortened from 1/5 to 1/9 now that Swift tops the streaming figures on Spotify this year with those odds giving an implied probability of 90% that she stays at the summit for 2024.

Beyonce's last album Cowboy Carter released at the end of March and was a major success across streaming platforms due to the different style to her previous albums.
Act II is the second her three-part Renaissance project with the album a country and Americana album which blended a whole host of musical genres.
Texas Hold 'Em has had 540 million streams on Spotify is by far the most popular song off the album with no other song hitting the 100m figure on the platform.
Beyonce is second favourite in the odds list to have the most streams on Spotify in 2024 with the betting odds currently giving her a 28% chance.

Further Swift specials are offered ahead of final leg of her Eras Tour
Miami's Hard Rock Stadium will be kicking off the last leg of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour on 18 October before gigs across the US and Canada wrap up the final dates on one of the most successful tours of all-time.
These dates are expected to be Swift's last for a while and it may well be that we see her announce the release date for Reputation (Taylor's Version) on her tour.
The betting odds though say that it won't be until the new year that Swift announces Reputation TV with the odds now at 5/4 for January 2025 of after.
