Season 7
There is no confidence either way as to whether the seventh season will be created.
It would have to be commissioned, it would have to be written, and filmed and presumably, retention of the three main characters played by Martin Compspn, Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure would need to be secured for the success to continue.
Jed Mercurio was asked if season six was the last we would see of the show to which he replied "I'd say it's too soon. It's too soon to draw that conclusion. It could be either of those, or it could be something different."
With a 2 year gap between the last couple of seasons, it's too soon to write it off too, so we shall have to wait and see, but if you are confident that we will get another dose of arguably the best police procedural drama on tv un a generation, bookmakers are offering to double your money
