Betting on the next James Bond has been going on for as long as we have known Daniel Craig was stepping down, and for all of that time the betting has been relatively stagnant with little change in the half a dozen names or so at the head of the market with betting sites.
That was until yesterday when one bookmaker suddenly added a new name to the mix, but not only placed them in the betting but immediately made them favourite to take on the role in the next movie

Who is Tom Hopper?
Thomas Edward Hopper (born 28 January 1985) is an English actor. He has appeared as Sir Percival in Merlin, Billy Bones in Black Sails, Dickon Tarly in Game of Thrones, and Luther Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy.
At 6 foot 5 inches, he would be one of the tallest James Bond's ever and nearly a foot taller than Daniel Craig.
Fellow game of Thrones star and Scottish Marvel Hero Richard Madden is also in the running having seen his price shorten over the last month or so to 9/2
Whilst Tom Hardy who has long been favourite and holding off Rege Jene Page in the betting has suddenly drifted to 8/1 with some bookmakers suggesting there is little chance for him to take on the Bond role, despite being favoured in many polls.
