Chalamet Now Oscars 2026 Best Actor Favourite for Marty Supreme

Timothée Chalamet has surged to the top of the 2026 Academy Awards Best Actor betting market, with betting sites putting him as the 2/1 favourite to win his first Oscar for his performance in the upcoming holiday release Marty Supreme.

While the film isn't due to hit cinemas until late 2025, early industry buzz and Chalamet’s increasing awards-season momentum have prompted a significant shift in the betting markets.

His portrayal in Marty Supreme is already tipped as his most Oscar-friendly role to date.

This would be Chalamet’s third Best Actor nomination, following nods in 2018 for Call Me by Your Name and 2025 for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.

What the expert says...
Chalamet’s rise to favourite status is no surprise given the talent, the role, and the Oscar momentum he’s building. Even with Marty Supreme not out until year-end, punters clearly see it as the one to beat.

Pattinson, Isaac and Washington in the Mix

Robert Pattinson, who had been leading the market earlier in the year, is now second-favourite at 5/2 for his performance in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17, a cerebral sci-fi drama that could go either way with voters.

Oscar Isaac sits third at 3/1 for his bold reimagining of Victor Frankenstein, while Denzel Washington remains an evergreen contender at 15/4 for Highest 2 Lowest.
