Vietnam now 10/1 to ban TikTok at some point this year following other bans

Social Media platform TikTok is facing a massive battle with Vietnam, where the government in the country are upset around the content the platform produces.

The potential Vietnamese ban though is different to the security struggles that the platform has faced around the USA and Europe.

The Vietnamese government are concerned that the content on TikTok 'gives useless advice' with the state-controlled media putting blame on the company for offensive content according to restofworld.

Bookmakers now say there's a 10/1 chance that the app is banned in Vietnam at some point before the end of the year with just a 9% chance that it happens.

Will TikTok be banned in Vietnam? Odds Probability
No 1/33 97.1%
Yes 10/1 9.1%
What the expert says..
Vietnam is unlikely to ban TikTok this year according to the latest betting odds but that doesn't mean that it won't in future. Vietnamese government look increasingly unhappy with the social media platform!

TikTok in process of suing Montana around ban

According to recent reports from the BBC, TikTok has sued to block Montana banning residents from accessing their social media platform.

Montana became the first state in the US to block the app, with the ban set to take effect in January next year making it illegal for app stores to offer TikTok in the state.

It will not ban people who already have the app downloaded though, but the state has already banned the app on government devices in the past.

Khaby Lame remains betting favourite to be most followed account on platform by end of the year

TikTok superstar Khaby Lame remains favourite with bookies to be the most followed TikTok user on the platform by the end of the year.

The same betting market was offered by bookmakers last year and Lame ended up winning the race against Charli D'Amelio easily at the end of 2022.

2023 looks to be more of the same with Lame leading the way ahead of D'Amelio in the betting market at 4/5.

Most followed TikTok account by end of 2023 Odds Probability
@khaby.lame 4/5 55.6%
@charlidamelio 11/10 47.6%
@bellapoarch 12/1 7.7%
@zachking 20/1 4.8%
What the expert says..
Khaby Lame is the most followed user on TikTok and according to the odds it's likely that it will stay that way at least until the end of the year!
