Johannes Radebe is the early favourite to be the winning professional on this year's Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing season is almost upon us and OLBG now look at who will be the winning professional this year with the pairings expected to be announced in the coming weeks and betting sites set to offer odds.

Professional dancers have been under the spotlight on Strictly in recent months with two of them, Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima, leaving the show due to controversial allegations made about their conduct.

All eyes will be on the professionals this year more than usual with the way they handle training under the microscope even further and it may well turn into a popularity contest over who wins.

Johannes Radebe is consistently one of the most popular dancers on Strictly and the latest odds put him as the 6/1 favourite to be the winning professional on the show this year.

Radebe is yet to win Strictly in his five series on the show, with his best placing coming back on series 19 where he came second with chef John Whaite, but this year he'll be looking to win with his celebrity partner.

Vito Coppola was the winning professional last season with Ellie Leach

Last year's Strictly Come Dancing saw one of the most competitive finals we've seen in the show's history with Ellie Leach being crowned winner.

Leach was against Bobby Brazier and Layton Williams in the final with both of those celebs putting in fantastic performances, but it was the former Coronation Street star who lifted the famous glitterball trophy.

Italian professional Vito Coppola is looking to win the show two years in-a-row and it'll be interesting to see who he is partnered up with this year.

Past series of the show tend to see professionals who have danced with a good celebrity in the previous year partnered with a celebrity who isn't the best.

Tasha Ghouri is 4/1 in the betting odds to win the show this year

Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri leads the betting market to be the winning celebrity this year with bookies placing her as the 4/1 favourite to win the show.

Those odds have instantly seen fans of the show discuss who she could be partnered with this year with Johannes Radebe constantly mentioned in these conversations.

Ghouri is the second deaf contestant to appear on the show after actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who won Strictly Come Dancing back in 2021, and she'll be hoping for a similar performance.
