Chelsea's Cole Palmer has seen his odds slashed from 20/1 into 9/2 to with the PFA Player of the Year award

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been backed into second favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award after a strong start to the season has seen him once again be a key player for the Blues.

Palmer's four-goal haul for Chelsea against Brighton at the end of September instantly saw him shorten across the board to win the main PFA POTY award this season.

Back in August, Palmer was a 20/1 outsider for the award but now UK Betting Sites have slashed his odds to just 9/2 which makes him second favourite in the market.

Palmer was crowned PFA Young Player of the Year last season after an impressive first season at Chelsea where he moved to from Man City for £40m last summer.

Bet365's market currently gives an implied probability of 18.2% that Palmer wins the prestigious PFA Player of the Year award this season with competitive looking market offered.

Man City striker Erling Haaland remains the outright favourite

Erling Haaland remains the betting favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award for the second time in his career after starting the season with 10 goals in 7 matches.

Haaland has finished as the league's top scorer for the past two seasons and looks likely to be the same again this year with his odds at 1/8 to win the Golden Boot.

Man City have a favourable run of fixtures over the coming weeks now which could see his goal tally soar even further as he looks to fire his side to the Premier League title once again this season.

Arsenal are the betting favourites to win the Premier League this season

Premier League title winner odds now put Mikel Arteta's Arsenal as the favourites to win the league after their 2-2 draw away at Manchester City looked to change their fortunes around.

City's key midfielder Rodri picked up a season-ending ACL injury in the game and this instantly led to bookmakers cutting the Gunners odds into favourites for the league title.

Both City and Arsenal sit behind Liverpool in the league table but Arne Slot's men are out at third favourites in the betting market with their odds suggesting a 22.2% chance of them winning the title in his first year in charge.
