Troy Deeney is now odds-on favourite to become next Walsall manager

Troy Deeney is the shock favourite to be the next Walsall manager with his current odds now making him 4/5 to take over with UK Betting Sites.

Deeney currently plays up front for Birmingham City after moving there in 2021 following an 11-year spell at Watford and his previous connection with Walsall will be a big reason he's linked to the job.

The striker played at Walsall for four seasons between 2006 and 2010 and despite this he would be a massive shock appointment at the Bescot Stadium.

The latest odds from BetVictor though say there's a 55% chance that Deeney becomes the next Walsall manager.
