Far-right leader Giorgia Meloni became the country's first female prime minister back in September
A month on from Giorgia Meloni was elected as the first female Prime Minister of Italy, the odds for the country leaving the EU remain at 7/2.
Bookies make Italy the favourites to leave the EU next although Meloni's anti-European rhetoric has cooled in recent weeks since she was voted in.
Paddy Power give further odds on who will leave the EU next with Poland, Greece and France just behind Italy in the betting market.
Meloni met with top EU officials in Brussels earlier this week with the meeting's going well according to reports so this may strengthen the country's position in the EU.
Next Country to leave the EU | Odds | Probability |

Poland | 6/1 | 14.3% |
France | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Greece | 7/1 | 12.5% |

Poland are 6/1 second favourites to leave in the latest betting market
Polexit is the name given to a hypothetical Polish European Union exit, taken straight from Britain's exit or Brexit as it's commonly known.
Poland's prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, has said that the country has no desire of leaving the EU in the last year.
This time last year, Morawiecki accused opposition politicians of "lying" about Polexit.
Bookies though say that they are the second favourites to leave the EU next following on from Britain's lead in 2020.
