Kevin McDonald is now the evens favourite to become the permanent Bradford City manager
Betting is still available on the next Bradford City manager with bookmakers offering odds on who will be the man to replace Mark Hughes in the still-vacant role at the club.
Next Bradford City Manager | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Kevin McDonald | 1/1 | 50.0% |
Leam Richardson | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Danny Cowley | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Pete Wild | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Karl Robinson | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Kevin McDonald is the current player-caretaker manager of Bradford and he has been installed as the new favourite to get the job on a permanent basis after impressing so far.
McDonald has managed just two fixtures so far with wins in League Two and the EFL Trophy and that 100% record has not gone unnoticed at the top of the club.
BetVictor have moved McDonald into evens favourite to get the job next with those odds suggesting there's a 50% chance of him getting the job on a permanent basis.
Mark Hughes was sacked as Bradford boss after poor start to season
The Bradford City job was supposed to be Mark Hughes' first step towards redemption in his managerial career after sinking down to League Two despite previously managing in the Premier League.
This wasn't the case though with Hughes sacked last Wednesday after seeing his side slip down to 18th in League Two after winning just three of their first 11 games of the season.
Hughes had only been appointed in February 2022 after 4 years out of management since leaving Southampton and led the Bantams to the play-offs last season.
Bradford are 11/2 to be promoted from League Two this season
Bradford City were one of the favourites to be promoted from League Two at the start of the campaign but that start under Hughes has seen them slip down the betting market.
The odds now have them as the 9th favourites to go up at the end of the campaign with 8 teams given a better chance by bookies to go up.
Notts County and Stockport are now joint favourites to be promoted this season after both impressing so far in League Two.
League Two Promotion 23/24 | Odds | Probability |
