Coronation Street is the odds on favourite with bookies to win this year's Best Serial Drama at the National Television Awards.

At odds of 8/15, Corrie is the clear favourite to win the Best Serial Drama award for back-to-back years.

Coronation Street's win last year was their first since 2014 and ended a four year winning streak for Emmerdale.

Eastenders actress Gillian Wright is the clear favourite to win this year's Best Serial Drama Performance at the NTAs.

Wright has been in the role of Jean Slater for 18 years now on the show and has received huge praise this year for her acting.

The actress was beaten to the Dramatic Performance and Leading Performance awards at this year's Soap Awards but will be hoping to go one better here.

Elsewhere, Strictly Come Dancing is the heavy favourite for Best Talent Show

Strictly Come Dancing is the bookies favourite to win a 7th consecutive Best Talent Show award at this year's National Television Awards.
