Cat Deeley now 1/3 favourite to be the next permanent presenter of ITV's Daytime show This Morning

Betting continues to be offered on who will be the next permanent host of ITV's flagship daytime show This Morning following the departure of Holly Willoughby back in October last year with Cat Deeley remaining top of the bookies market.

Deeley had been rumoured to be Willoughby's replacement for some time but then reports came out that she had “turned down” the offer to takeover the role last month leaving everything up in the air.

Now though the Daily Mirror are reporting that Deeley is set to take over from Willoughby next and the latest betting odds suggest there's a 75% chance that it finally happens at some point in the near future.

William Hill's betting market has contenders such as Abbey Clancy and Sian Welby who have also been in the running in recent weeks but it looks like Deeley is firmly set to be the winner in the race.

Ben Shephard reportedly set to be co-host to Deeley on the show

Those reports from the Daily Mirror from late last week say that Ben Shephard has been picked to be Cat Deeley's partner for the new presenter duo for This Morning in the upcoming weeks.

Shephard has been a big figure on ITV in recent years with the presenter well known by ITV viewers thanks to his time presenting morning news show Good Morning Britain on the channel.

Now though it looks like he'll be the Phillip Schofield to Deeley's Willoughby and become the second part of the brand new duo that will host This Morning on Monday to Thursday.

Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond are expected to continue as This Morning's Friday and school holiday hosts like they have done in recent years too.

Further betting specials offered on other ITV shows including Dancing On Ice

Holly Willoughby hasn't fully stepped down from presenting as she is currently hosting ITV's Sunday evening show Dancing On Ice alongside Stephen Mulhern.

Dancing On Ice has been running for four weeks now and in that time we've had several celebrities top the market to win the show.

Adele Roberts is the latest to be the favourite to win with bookmakers now putting her as the 9/4 leader in the betting market.
