Labour now tight favourites to win this week's Mid-Bedfordshire by-election
The Mid-Bedfordshire by-election is finally set to take place this week and Labour are now the 11/10 favourites with UK Betting Sites to win despite a number of big candidates going for the seat.
Emma Holland-Lindsey is the Liberal Democrat candidate who has been confident of getting a win at the by-election but she's now third favourite behind Labour and the Conservatives.
The last few weeks of campaigning have brought up the situation of Labour and the Lib Dems splitting the vote to clear the way for a Conservative win and some bookies have even got the Tories as favourites for Thursday.
Paddy Power however have Labour as the favourites to win the by-election with those latest odds suggesting there's a 47% chance of Labour winning this week.

What the expert says...
Nadine Dorries resigned from the role more than two months after she announced she was stepping down
Nadine Dorries announced that she would quit as an MP "with immediate effect" and it was far from immediate with the Mid-Bedfordshire constituency waiting and waiting for her to leave.
It took until the 27th August for Dorries to finally step down 78 days after her original announcement with a damning resignation letter where she told current Prime Minster Rishi Sunak that "history will not judge you kindly".
Part of her resignation letter said that the country was run by a "zombie Parliament" and that she would finally give the government the writ to be moved for the By-Election that they are "desperately seeking to take place".
