Luton Town Tipped for League One Title as 2025/26 Season Nears

The 2025/26 League One season gets underway on Saturday 2 August and the latest outright markets with UK Betting Sites are beginning to take shape.

Luton Town, relegated from the Championship last season, are the 7/2 favourites with bet365 to bounce straight back up by winning the title.

The Hatters are expected to be among the strongest squads in the division and have retained key players over the summer to back up that tag.

A strong trio, Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, and Plymouth Argyle, all follow closely behind at 8/1, while Bolton Wanderers are available at 11/1 as they look to build on last season's play-off campaign.

Luton Lead the Pack

After suffering back-to-back promotions, Luton look well-positioned to dominate League One.

With a strong recruitment drive and experienced manager, the 7/2 price reflects strong market confidence in their promotion credentials.

Bolton Wanderers at 11/1 are the wildcard, having made steady progress year-on-year.

Wimbledon Facing Uphill Battle

AFC Wimbledon are the 11/10 favourites for relegation, with bookmakers predicting a tough season ahead.

Northampton and Exeter are also seen as likely candidates for the drop at 11/8 and 7/4, respectively.

Both clubs will need strong starts to avoid slipping into early danger.

Port Vale and Burton Albion, priced at 2/1, round out the top five in the relegation market, with both needing to find stability in the early season.
