The Rolling Stones are now 16/1 to be the next performers of the famous James Bond theme

Superstar British rock band The Rolling Stones are now 16/1 with bookies to perform the next James Bond theme song as OLBG look further into specials around the band.

The James Bond theme is one of the biggest music-related roles you can get in cinema history with some massive artists playing the song in the past.

Some big names have performed the theme song in the 10 films in the franchise including Billie Eilish, Adele, Sam Smith and Madonna and we could be getting another big name on the list next.

The Rolling Stones would seemingly be a perfect fit for the Bond theme with their rocky sound similar to the themes that we got in the 00's from the likes of Chris Cornell and Jack White.

Latest odds from bookmakers suggest there's a 5.9% chance of the Stones performing the theme song but they're the only act that have odds available so far.

What the expert says...
The Rolling Stones have a 16/1 chance of performing the next James Bond theme with bookies now offering specials around the band. Those odds though suggest there's just a 5% chance of them doing so.

Further specials go 33/1 that either Keith Richards or Ronnie Wood are knighted before end of 2024

Further betting specials are offered around the Rolling Stones with bookies now giving odds of 33/1 that either Keith Richards or Ronnie Wood are knighted in the next 12 months.

Mick Jagger was honoured with a knighthood in the Queen's 2002 Birthday Honours and at the time Richards was against the honour calling the whole Royal Family situation.

"I wouldn’t let that family near me with a sharp stick never mind a sword!” declared Keith Richards who refused to accept a CBE in the past.

The Stones announced a monster US Tour earlier this week

The band will be playing in stadiums across the whole of North America next summer and it's unclear whether they will bring their latest shows over to the UK.

Hackney Diamonds became the band's 14th UK Number One Album earlier this year with 72,000 copies sold in the album's first week, more than the rest of the top five combined.
