Lando Norris is the evens favourite to win the Italian Grand Prix this weekend

After a dominant performance in the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, Lando Norris heads to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix as the favourite with UK Betting Sites to win the race.

Norris sits at evens in the betting odds with a fantastic drive in the Netherlands seeing him win by 22.8 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen who failed to win his home Grand Prix for the first time since it returned to the calendar in 2021.

Despite a struggling start for Norris where he got off the line again poorly, he managed to overtake Verstappen on lap 18 before dominating for the rest of the race to seal victory.

Bet365's latest betting odds give a 50% chance of Norris winning in Italy this weekend with McLaren looking like the best car currently but he still sits 70 points behind Verstappen in the Drivers Championship standings.

What the expert says...
Lando Norris now has a 50% chance of winning the Italian Grand Prix this weekend according to the latest betting market after a dominant display saw him win the Dutch Grand Prix last time out. Lando's pole position, fastest lap and race victory saw his weekend be rounded off in style and he's still battling for the Drivers Championship.

Max Verstappen still leads the Drivers Championship

Despite struggling by his own high standards at the Dutch Grand Prix at the weekend, Max Verstappen still has a comfortable lead in the Drivers Championship going into the final 9 races of the season.

Norris' win in the Netherlands was just his second of the season and realistically he's going to have to win every single race left to have a chance of winning the title.

Verstappen's 7 wins have given him the advantage but he'll need to keep his head going into the final part of the season as he looks to once again win the Drivers Championship.

The Dutch driver has won three Drivers Championships so far in his career and at the age of 26 still has a long time to add to that tally.

McLaren clear favourites to win the Constructors Championship this season

McLaren will now feel confident on winning the Formula 1 Constructors Championship for the first time in 26 years with the team not winning it since 1998.

Norris and Oscar Piastri both put in strong performances to cut Red Bull's lead in the Constructors standings to just 30 points now with the leading team struggling.

Sergio Perez has had an increasingly tough season in the second Red Bull and it looks likely that he could be costly to the team's Constructors Championship hopes this season.
