Israel are the 6/1 favourites to win the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest

Betting is available for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest as Israel now move into favourites with UK Betting Sites to win the event at 6/1 after a brand new refresh of the betting odds.

Israel won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2018 with Netta Barzilai performing "Toy" at the event and 6 years on they are the favourites to win again.

Similar to the 2022 event where Ukraine stormed into favourites to win, ongoing conflicts have seen Israel become the favourites for 2024's competition with political voting potentially coming into the equation.

The European Broadcasting Union announced that the Israeli broadcaster complies with competition rules and it can participate next year despite backlash from some countries.

Now the latest betting odds say there's a 14% chance of Israel winning this year's competition just ahead of hosts Sweden and also Ukraine who sit as joint second favourites at 7/1.

Sweden will host the event in 2024 after winning Eurovision in Liverpool earlier this year

Malmö will host the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest after Sweden won this year's event in Liverpool after Loreen represented her country once again at the competition.

Loreen won Eurovision for Sweden back in 2012 with her hit song Euphoria and 11 years on she did it again with Tattoo becoming a hit outside of the Song Contest.

The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday 7 May (First Semi-Final), Thursday 9 May (Second Semi-Final) and Saturday 11 May (Grand Final) 2024.

UK Specials also offered as the UK are at 7/2 to finish last

Further betting specials are also offered on how the UK will do at next year's Eurovision Song Contest after a pretty dismal showing at this year's event from Mae Muller.

The UK finished 25th out of 26 for Muller's song "I Wrote A Song" which was panned by critics and Eurovision fans before the contest got underway.

Next year we'll be hoping for a better turnout by the UK but bookmakers aren't expecting anything massive with odds of just 7/2 that the UK finishes last at the event.
