  • Band’s odds cut dramatically from 25/1 amid reunion speculation.
  • Metallica still leads market at 6/1, with Harry Styles, Tool, and Gorillaz also in contention.

Daft Punk Surge in Betting for Next Las Vegas Sphere Residency

Daft Punk have made a major move in the betting market to be the next act to headline the Las Vegas Sphere, with odds cut from 25/1 into 7/1 with betting sites on a potential reunion for the French electronic legends.

This latest betting shift suggests momentum is building behind the idea that Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo could reform for the most high-tech stage in the world.

Despite splitting in 2021 and offering little public indication of a return, the Sphere represents a venue tailor-made for Daft Punk’s futuristic aesthetic.

The Sphere has already hosted a rotating residency line-up featuring The Eagles, Dead & Company, Kenny Chesney, and soon the Backstreet Boys.

Speculation around upcoming residencies has now intensified with Daft Punk climbing rapidly up the betting ladder.

Rumours Sparked by Original Sphere Concept Art

Much of the current hype surrounds the fact that Daft Punk were featured in concept visuals for the Sphere when the project was initially teased by The Madison Square Garden Company (as shown in the photo above).

The use of digital renders showing a Daft Punk performance added to the speculation that this was a long-term ambition from venue operators.

With state-of-the-art audio and visuals, the Sphere offers an environment where Daft Punk’s live set could push artistic boundaries like never before, especially with their history of visually dynamic shows.
