King Charles now 1/6 with bookies to be the most watched on Christmas Day's television this year

Christmas Day is nearly upon us and betting remains available on the festive television schedule with UK Betting Sites offering odds on the most watched show on the big day.

It's no surprise that King Charles remains the clear favourite to have the most watched show on Christmas Day with his annual speech usually leading the way in the ratings.

Queen Elizabeth also lead the way in the ratings during her time as leader and last year's speech for Charles was his first in the role as King after the Queen's passing.

William Hill's latest odds have shortened the chances of The King's speech on the BBC having the most viewers with his viewers on that channel alone usually leading the way.

Doctor Who remains second favourite in the betting market at 6/1 for Ncuti Gatwa's first full show

Second favourite in the betting market to have the most viewed show on Christmas Day this year is Doctor Who with Christmas Day's episode Ncuti Gatwa's first full one as the Doctor.

Gatwa was shown in the final episode of the show's 60th-anniversary specials earlier this month with David Tennant regenerating into Gatwa in scenes that saw Tennant's Doctor stay in the universe through bigeneration.

Ncuti Gatwa's run as the Time Lord has now fully kicked off though with Whovians excited about a new era for the show which will also air globally on Disney+ and there's a 14% chance it's the most watched show in the UK this Christmas.
