Real face Atletico in Champions League Madrid derby

The Champions League Round of 16 stage kicks off this week with Real Madrid taking on cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid in arguably the tie of the round.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are looking to go through against Diego Simeone's team in what is all but guaranteed to be a classic on and off the pitch.

We've seen 9 Madrid derby matches in the Champions League over the years with the most famous meeting coming in the 2014 final.

Real beat Atletico 4-1 eventually after needing a 93rd minute equaliser from Sergio Ramos to send the game into extra time and put them on the way to La Decima.

UK Betting Sites are now offering odds on who will go through in this tie with Real odds-on to qualify for the Quarter-Final stage ahead of Atletico.

Bet365's latest market puts Simeone's men at 5/4 to qualify with an implied probability of 44.4% that they do so.

Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are set to clash in an all-German Champions League Round of 16 tie, with the first leg taking place at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

This is the first time these two Bundesliga giants meet in a major European competition, making it a highly anticipated encounter.

Bayern, led by Harry Kane, are looking to get one over on Leverkusen with Xabi Alonso's team having great recent history in this fixture.

Aston Villa, Arsenal and Liverpool remaining English teams

England will be represented by three Premier League sides after Manchester City were knocked out by Real Madrid in the play-off stage.

Aston Villa go up against Club Brugge again looking to get revenge for their 1-0 defeat away against the Belgian side back in November.

Liverpool will face PSG in what will be a tricky tie with the French side flying this season with fantastic form shown.

Arsenal take on PSV Eindhoven in what could also be a tough match after the Dutch team knocked out Italian giants Juventus in the play-offs.
