Labour are the clear favourites to win the expected Blackpool South By-Election
Bookies are now offering odds on a potential Blackpool South By-Election following the suspension of current MP Scott Benton who is now an independent after having the Conservative Party whip suspended in April 2023.
Benton breached rules after The Times filmed him appearing to offer to leak confidential information and lobby ministers in return for money from a group of undercover journalists that has posed as gambling industry investors.
It's now expected that there will be a By-Election in Blackpool South with Benton suspended from the Commons for 35 days due to his actions and we'll know more in the next few weeks.
Smarkets now have odds on the potential By-Election in Blackpool South with Labour the heavy favourites to take back the seat that was won by Benton and the Conservatives back in 2019.

Labour won By-Elections in Kingswood and Wellingborough back in February
Two massive By-Election wins were made by Labour last month in Kingswood and Wellingborough with the Conservatives crushed at the polls.
Majorities of over 11,000 and 19,000 were overturned by Labour candidates in Kingswood and Wellingborough respectively in those By-Elections.
Massive swings of 16% and 28% took place in the polls which dealt a hammer blow to Rishi Sunak and strengthened Sir Keir Starmer's role as Labour leader even further.
