Bookies offer odds for Oasis to reform in 2022
Brit-pop band Oasis have always been rumoured to get back together, ever since the band split in 2009.
Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher were known for their bust ups in the band and this eventually resulted in them splitting.
Bookmakers are currently offering 10/1 odds that the band get back together this year, with Liam always hinting that it could happen.
Noel on the other hand said there would be "no point" that the band get back together after 13 years apart.
With betting sites giving a likely probability of it happening of 9.1%, it shows that they think there's only a slight chance of it happening in 2022.
14/1 odds of headlining Glastonbury in 2022!
The famous Glastonbury festival is set to go ahead in 2022 after cancellations in the last 2 years due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
What better way for a band like Oasis to reform than to do so at a festival like Glastonbury.
Our Glastonbury headliners blog took a closer look at the odds for the big festival this year.
Odds of other headliners at the festival this year are:
Glastonbury 2022 Headliner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Aerosmith | 1/7 | 87.5% |
Taylor Swift | 1/2 | 66.7% |
Diana Ross | 4/5 | 55.6% |
Elton John | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Kendrick Lamar | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Queens of the Stone Age | 3/1 | 25% |
Coldplay | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Lady Gaga | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Fleetwood Mac | 8/1 | 11.1% |
ABBA | 12/1 | 7.7% |
As above shows, Oasis would be rank outsiders to headline the festival in 2022, but such a massive band would be a huge name for the comeback of Glastonbury after a 3 year break.

Liam Gallagher is set to perform at the Etihad Stadium and Knebworth in 2022
Liam Gallagher is currently performing in front of massive crowds all around Europe, with headline shows at the Etihad Stadium and Knebworth set to make 2022 even bigger for the frontman.
Knebworth was the home of one of Oasis' biggest ever set of shows, with more than 250,000 people seeing the band perform over two nights in 1996.
Over 2.5 million people applied for tickets for the weekend's gigs and Liam Gallagher will be hoping for a repeat of that this Summer.
Both shows that Gallagher will be headlining at Knebworth in June this year have sold out, with over 170,000 tickets gone.
That shows the pulling power that the songs of Oasis still have and it may help towards a reunion for the band in the next 12 months.
