I've spent over 20 years inside the betting industry. I'll guide you to avoid the hype, ignore the noise, and steer clear of the common pitfalls that catch out everyday punters.

  • AJ Odudu was previously 12/1 but her odds have crashed to just 5/2 as the new Favourite
  • Nina Wadia is the first celebrity to be eliminated in all-female dance-off
  • John Whaite continues to get support from punters as 3/1 second bookies favorite behind Odudud
  • Tom Fletcher Returns in the Betting

AJ Odudu has shot to the head of the betting to win the Glitterball trophy on this season's Strictly Come Dancing.

Formerly 12/1 with betting sites prior to the show beginning, two solid performances have seen her odds crash to just 5/1 while replacing Rose Ayling-Ellis at the head of the market and leapfrog 3/1 chance John Whaite.

AJ Odudu 5/2 29%
John Whaite 3/1 25%
Rose Ayling-Ellis 7/2 22%

Tom Fletcher 18/1 5%

AJ Odudu has leapfrogged Rose Ayling-Ellis and John Waite to be the new 5/2 favourite with betting sites for the Glitterball, but everything can change with one wrong step in the Strictly betting markets.

Nina Wadia 1st to go

Nina Wadia may feel a little aggrieved at being the first to be eliminated from the show.

She was originally the 25/1 rank outsider, but as the introduction show and first dance week completed she found her odds shortening as punters betting on Strictly Come Dancing had more confidence in her chance to stave off elimination for at least a few weeks.

That was not to be as she lost the dance-off to fellow soap star Katie McGlynn and leave the show.

Neither were expected to be in with a chance of elimination so when the odds reappear for the next vote off later in the week, we can expect a shake-up of the odds. Ogui Monye was the clear favourite to leave first but comfortably survived in the end.

Tom Fletcher Returns

Tom Fletcher returns next week an 18/1 chance to win having formerly been 4/1 before a positive COVID test. How will the public react to his return waits to be seen.

It is expected that Tom Fletcher will return to the show next week following a hiatus due to positive COVID testing. As such, he has been reinstalled in the betting at 18/1 having been a 4/1 favourite to win before the show began airing.
