Squid Game is 11/2 to win the Outstanding Drama Series award after first time non-English drama series is nominated

Netflix series Squid Game made history on Tuesday after it became the first non-English drama series nominated in the coveted Outstanding Drama Series category.

The series has a total of 14 nominations at this year's Emmy Awards, with even more categories up for grabs including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Bookmakers make Squid Game 11/2 to win the Outstanding Drama Series award, with the show currently sitting at second favourite in the betting market.

Succession leads the way in the betting market for the big award

HBO drama Succession is the 9/2 favourite to win the Outstanding Drama Series award, with an implied chance of 18.2% to win one of the biggest prizes at the Emmy's.

Squid Game is just behind with a 15.4% chance according to the betting odds so it isn't exactly a given that Succession wins the award.

Succession has won the award before, back in 2020, but comes up against fierce competition this time round.

Fellow HBO drama Euphoria also features in the market, but is the big outsider out at 33/1 to win.

Further Emmy Awards betting available

There are a whole host of categories available to bet on for the 2022 Emmy Awards, set to take place on the 12th September later this year.

The 2022 Emmy Awards nominations are out and Succession leads the way with 25 nominations at the ceremony.
