Highly unlikely that it will work again if it has been washed, needs to fully dry out but if it has been through a full cycle it could well be doomed, did you have it insured?

Probably dead but long shot would be

1. dont attempt to turn it on
2. take it apart a bit if you can as so that water can get inside for step 3
3. rinse it in distilled water (to remove chemicals from normal water/washing) which cause corrosion if left there
4. Leave to dry for 5 days. Lot of sites recommend putting in a bag of uncooked rice to withdraw the moisture best
5. charge it
6. say a prayer and turn it on

Thank you very much for your advice....Based on your advice you will understand the reason my phone is not going to work...I turned it on.

All the things that should not be red (labels etc) are red the phone has been looked at by a local phone company and is broken..but experience of your advice for the future..thanks :win:

There's some form of bag that can be brought from firebox (other good wesbites may stock it) called Aqua something or other!

Apparently the bag somehow draws moisture from the phone.

:win: this may help others but unfortunately my phone was switched on by myself before being informed this was a bad thing to do,so it is goodbye phone.

Great advice the prodcut is currently under £12 could save a very valuable phone.

If you put the phone immediately in to rice (seperating phone and battery) and leave for a few days, this absorbs moisture and if the product can be fixed by removing moisture this does the trick.

I learned this too late...bye

dry it out with a hairdryer, wipe off any suds marks and then return it under warranty in exchange for a new one. That may not be strictly be legal so I didn't say it.
