Made a positive return to action at Ascot at the beginning of May when contesting a 5f handicap from a mark of 82. Was beaten a little over two lengths despite finishing 7th of 17. Racing off the same mark here, looks to have strong claims stepping up to 6f.

Very smart performer in his prime who hasn't won for a while but has slipped down the weights as a result and ran fairly well when 4th at Ripon on reappearance. A step forward from that would make him very dangerous off this career-low mark.

Fairly short price but I'm surprised the horse isn't shorter. Has got speed, and when the going is quick at Yarmouth it's quick. Seems to be in good order. Big chance.

I think Valley of the Kings has been overlooked here. Dylan Cunha is in good form and has given Jason Watson the ride, which is a positive for me. This one ran well on firm ground in all his first four races, from maiden to first handicap, so discounting his last run he should like the ground. He has had a very busy time without a break since his debut just less than a year ago, but has now been given a break. If he comes back refreshed and ready, he may be a decent bet.
