7:30 Wolverhampton Tips

This horse won last time out and has a strong speed rating. With the trainer and jockey in good form, I'm hoping for a good run.

Did not overall run up to expectation on return, but will surely strip fitter here and come on for that recent run. Looks capable of running a big race.

Sent off favourite when last seen over course and distance on Boxing Day off a 2 pound higher mark. Had 3 races over 7 furlongs since that race and should appreciate this drop in trip.

So Sassy has been fairly consistent in this sort of all-weather company, and Wolverhampton should suit if she can grab a good early position. She tends to travel smoothly into her races, and her current mark looks fair based on her better efforts. If she gets a clean run turning in and keeps finding under pressure, she has a solid chance of being involved at the finish.

Mark looks about right and has shown at Newcastle he handles the Tapeta surface well. Could be more to come here at Wolves and seems a genuine type.

Darn Hot Time is a 4yo filly trained by Dr. Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. She has been safely held in three starts for the current stable and has been beaten 5.75l, 5.5l, and 5l. She seems a handful, having taken a fierce hold and run free for Rossa Ryan on her stable debut in a first-time hood. On the penultimate start the hood was worn again and she again took a fierce hold. Last time out a first-time tongue tie was worn; she settled better, raced in rear, and made some late headway. Tonight she wears first-time blinkers and keeps the tongue tie, racing off a career-low mark of 59. Her antics have clearly inhibited her effectiveness and may not reflect her ability or current handicap mark. She could be a different proposition in the new headgear tonight.

White Umbrella is a mare who loves this C&D. While recent form is a bit meh, she is starting to look more interesting back here off 65. She was in a deeper Class 5 LTO and she ran as if the run was needed after a break. Now she drops into a Class 5 with her mark back to 65, which brings her closer to the territory from which she rattled off multiple C&D wins from 61.
