Beauzon has won four times already this year and has now recorded 11 wins from his 50 starts. He had won off a mark of 68 when recording the last of four straight wins in early 2024 and took advantage of a reduced mark of 50 when starting the current winning run at Lingfield on 12th January. His last win came on Tuesday last week when he ran away with another Lingfield handicap off 56, and although he has an 8 lb penalty, Ryan Kavanagh claims 5 lb. He looks to have a good chance of a five-timer.

The favourite (Beauzon) will be all the rage here, but he can't be value at such a skinny price. This second favourite could capitalise. He is 2 from 4 over C&D, and today's jockey was on board for the first time when the horse won well last time out. He's been raised 3 lb for that narrow win but was racing off much higher marks a year ago. This 6 yo could well make it back-to-back wins.

Havana Club won't mind the drop back in trip and is well handicapped by the looks of it. Four pounds above the last winning mark but competitive from higher in the weights at the beginning of December. All eyes will be on Beauzon going for the five-timer, but that could set it up for a closer, and this one could be in the shake-up.
