6:00 Wolverhampton Tips

BEAUNE got the season off to a flying start with three wins, one at Lingfield and two at Wolverhampton. He then tried his luck in higher-class races, but without much fortune. A return to Class 6 offers good prospects of success

A bit of a specialist over track and trip, with three wins and two seconds to his name. His two runs over course and distance this year haven't enhanced that record, but he'd been off the track four months before his latest run so he can be forgiven that under par effort. He's back down to his last winning mark, and in a race for amateur jockeys he has one of the more experienced rider's aboard.

Doesn't look that strong an amateur jockeys handicap in comparison to One Million Dreams' last start over 1m5f at Hamilton late in June. Six year old whose two wins came for Nick Littmoden over 1m4f and 1m5f. Now with Archie Watson and Brodie Hampson rides again. Recent form perhaps reads a little worse than it is. Blinkers fitted. Dropped three pounds in the handicap. A possible winner in this line-up.

Shopaholic has not been placed in a race from three starts. She was ninth over 1m 2f at Lingfield on her latest outing last month. Upped in trip to 1m 6f and the surface should suit. She seems well treated and could well be able to win this race.

Freewheelin is an 8yo trained by John Norton and ridden by Lauren Sanders. Finished 8th of 8 last start, but that was after a 1-year absence. Might strip fitter now. Has raced over today's C&D once, 2 years ago, finishing 4th off a mark of 46. Races today off the same mark. Speculative each-way bet.
