Good effort when second last time out. Has a wide draw, which is not ideal, but this is a hold-up type, so it shouldn't be as much of an inconvenience.

Another that looks like it may be slightly overpriced. The horse does its best when making the running, and it may be able to do that tonight. The addition of the claim will help a lot.

I'm hoping the new stable rekindles this horse, which is thrown in on the pick of his form for the stable before the last one. He was winning and being placed off marks in the mid 70s and races here off just 62 after losing his way somewhat. The upshot of that is we now get a trainer who does very well with these types and also a new jockey in C. Fallon. There is early money for the horse too, and I suspect we might well see a return to form here.

Simply Blue may well do better than the market suggests here. The application of headgear seems to be paying dividends judged by a good run last time out.

Finished third last time out, heavy at Wolverhampton, ending a length back from the winner. A contender, however, at a gain it may be able to build on or repeat that.

Swiss Ace strikes me as one who will bounce back before long. He hails from a stable with a reputation for horses that do just that. He has not been at his best in the last few races, but those runs have served to drop the handicap mark to a dangerous-looking weight. This one could get involved at big price, as there are definite signs of improvement.

6-time winner who stayed on well to finish 3rd here last time. Drops in grade and should appreciate this longer trip. Holds each-way chance at least.
