6:30 Windsor Tips

Inishfallen is a 4-year-old gelding trained by Brian Meehan. He was a useful 2-year-old who contended in group races as a 2-year-old and posted a career-high RPR of 98. He is seemingly in good heart, having finished 2/7 over CD on his penultimate start, posting an RPR of 92 (Chief Mankato, 2.25 lengths behind, won earlier in the week to boost the form). He is turned out quickly after finishing 5/12 in a class 2 last Monday and should go close under Saffie Osborne for a trainer who has won with Lodge and Oceans Four with recent runners.

Close second at Doncaster at the beginning of the month and goes off only two pounds higher here. It would seem the gelding operation back in May has revived fortunes, and with a decent jockey and draw, there is a decent chance.

Ran well stepped up to this trip last time at Chepstow when losing out in a photo finish. Races off the same mark here and unlikely to be far away.

I'm backing this again for the same reason I did last week. It's a tracker horse that I still think is on a mark that it shouldn't be on and should be higher. It remains on the same mark when finishing a length off last week. Just hoping this week it finally gets off the mark in a valuable handicap. Same jockey again, so hopefully she's learned a bit with it.

Four turf runs for the 4yo this year. Respectable effort in a quality £52K 17-runner class 2 handicap five weeks ago. Drop in class for this contest. He had previously won and gone close twice, earning high ratings. Plenty of winners have come out of those races. On a winnable mark and suited by the fast ground.

Visor on for the first time and 5lb claimer, who should have a good meeting, on top. Down in class from last time and is a previous course and distance winner. Decent each-way bet.

Has been running a lot better than his form figures might suggest and was beaten less than 2 lengths last time at Goodwood despite finishing 6th of 13 over their sharp 5f trip. Will be better suited to the 6f of this race and looks a strong player.

Has scored one win over C&D, but the problem is that the last win was back in 2023. However, it did show encouraging signs on a useful run at Ascot back in April of this year, and a drop down in class should help.

Emperor Spirit could surprise and bounce back. He disappointed on his second run for his new stable at Ascot nineteen days ago but won on his stable debut. Each way possibilities.

Disappointing effort last time notwithstanding, I find it difficult to ignore this horse today given his position at the bottom of the weights and his superb record at Windsor. 11 years of age up against much younger horses is also a negative. However, this jockey will know him better today after riding for the first time in his last race, and the return to this track on these terms is appealing.
