Was decent @ this level for E. Dunlop and last 2 runs for this stable have both been good ones. Still nicely treated here off a mark of 65, under used jockey retains ride and shrewd trainer has done well here last 5 seasons, making current 7/1 solid Ew value in the race.

Did well at Lingfield last time out when upped in trip and more improvement a distinct possibilty going even further today. Solid each way chance at the very least.

Race 9 at Southwell today is the Midnite Are Upping The Betting Game Handicap over 2,200 m, Class 6 for 3yos plus on the Tapeta track. The suggested wager is each-way on the 7yo gelding Sisterandbrother from the S A Harris yard. He will be ridden by S D Gray. This son of Sixties Icon caught the eye last time after being baulked for a run at a crucial stage and ran on strongly in the end, just 3 lengths off the winner. Big chance with expected improvement likely here. Winner £3,140 - 13 ran 1m 3f 23y Standard (AW)

El Ghaawy didn’t fire on handicap debut but had shown a touch of promise before that and could improve with more experience. He’s effective around 10f and if settling into a better rhythm this time, there’s still a chance he shows more from this low mark.

They are dropping this one down in class/grade. Also stepping it up in trip slightly, with an interesting jockey booking/change. A good value each-way bet for the four places available.

Evergreen seven-year-old, Annandale has won three times this year, twice off today's official rating of 62. Jim Goldie who is a part-owner sends only this one down from Scotland. The horse is flexible as to distance and won here in February. Paul Mulrennan takes the ride and he rode him to victory in August.

Rosco Rogers is an eight-race maiden, but he improved when making the switch to the AW and in handicaps. Around this time last year he was twice beaten in photo finishes. He returned from a layoff when pulling up over hurdles. Back on the AW in his latest run, he was only 8th of 12 but never got the run of the race. He can do better today.

A lackluster showing at Newcastle. Possibly he went too fast too soon when he placed 8th last time out. If he leverages the jockey's 5 lb claim and matches his October run here at Southwell, an each-way wager at 16/1 stands to be rewarding.

Flynn Ryder didn’t land a blow last time over shorter and steps back up now with a little weight relief, which could help. He’s still unproven past 7f and needs to settle better, but with a break behind him and slightly easier mark, he’s one to keep an eye on for signs of progress.

A chance is taken that bottom-weight Rampant could outrun his odds and hit the frame. He is still without a win but has gone close at times in the past. Each-way possibilities.
