Jim Goldie was unlucky with Eternal Sunshine who would surely have won yesterdays Bronze Cup but for a heavy stumble at the start. Goldie is adept at placing his charges in these big cup races and Jordan Electrics should give a good account here. A veteran of 79 races he was 5th in this last year but has less weight and Lauren Youngs very useful 7lb claim in his favour today. Good value each way bet.

Apples Jane has had plenty of chances for me and is readily taken on with the well bred Rebel Cry. It took him a while to get the hang of things on debut at Killarney but the penny eventually dropped and he stayed on nicely to finish 4th. Should be all the better for that experience. Solid ew chances at the very least.
