Rogue Identity is a gelding whose better recent efforts have come under similar all-weather conditions, including a Southwell run where he moved smoothly through the race and stayed on strongly without everything going his way. He has shown he can operate effectively at this level and tends to do his best work late when allowed to build into the contest. With conditions again in his favour, there are sound reasons to expect him to be competitive and in the mix late on.

Time Turner was given a slightly careless ride in an amateur race two races ago but ran on late to be runner-up. Pro ridden last time to an eased 3-length victory at Newcastle over a furlong further than this. Big chance of the follow-up now.

Beachborough Girl changed yards last month and came straight in with a win off a 55. She kept on well to the post, which makes me think that today's extra furlong could suit and she can defy the 4 lb rise.

Top three in last four runs at Wolverhampton, including one victory over the longer distance. Some of the market leaders are either dealing with weight hikes or travelling for the first time over this distance, so a chance is taken here.

They are dropping this one back down in trip slightly with a good jockey booking/change. A good value each-way bet for the four places available.

Sister and Brother won well enough last time. If backing up that run here today, they can go close to doubling up that victory.

Not much to show in the three runs so far, but now this class dropper could get involved at this level if finally meeting the quota.

Jack Andrea changed yards in November and, three weeks ago, came straight in with a decent third. Drops 1 lb and goes again with a similar draw and the same rider. EW 4P
