King David hasn't been that far away in his last two runs. Today he races off 2 lb lower than his sole winning mark of 68.

Steadily improving with each run, it's still very early days in the career of this horse so some further progress can be expected. It's not a bad draw , good jockey booked today.

Ziggy's Angel won a C5 in Sept on handicap debut off a 62 at 7f and took on 4 lbs but could not follow up here off a 66. He did show improvement when second up at that mark here last month at 6f when third. Could be worth a shot off the same mark but back at 7f.

Winner at Doncaster in August who returned from a break with a very solid 3rd off this mark at Newcastle earlier this month. Something similar should put him bang there this afternoon.

Eligible was cold in the market when last seen running at Chester on good to soft over a mile in the summer. He finished mid-division behind two subsequent winners. That was off a mark of 70 and his last win came at this track off 74. If he's fit after a break, he could be competitive down in grade off a handy mark in an open looking race.

Ashen is having his first run for Jim Goldie and is on a good mark if he is ready to roll after a break since his last race in June. He ran well in his races earlier this season and would not have to come on much to play a leading part here.

A Pint Of Bear looks a proper player again and is very fair each-way here, with solid win claims if the blinkers work as well second time around. He is a C&D specialist with 3 course wins and a C&D win last time, travelling strongly and quickening right away off 6 lb lower. The new blinkers first time produced a marked step forward, and he should be ridden prominently again in a race without stacks of obvious pace.
