Given a really aggressive ride when making all on his bumper win here and caught the eye throughout his qualifying runs over hurdles, particularly last time when staying on from the rear to finish behind two useful sorts at Wetherby. An opening mark of 96 certainly looks workable and I’m a big fan of the yard that he’s moved to.

This gelding is beautifully handicapped switching back to the smaller obstacles. The speed figures from his recent outings suggest he has plenty of pounds in hand over the handicapper. Tactically, he is mapped to race prominently, which is a massive advantage here as the early gallop is projected to be incredibly sedate. He won comfortably over this exact course and distance recently, knows his way around this sharp track, and should get the absolute run of the race from the front while the others sit and suffer.
