Went down by a neck last time at Pontefract, but had to make up plenty of ground from the back and then was pushed four wide on the home bend and just couldn't challenge. Goes up 2 lb but is the best horse in this race. He needs a strong pace and a clear run to gain the win, but he is a strong choice.

Has won over course and distance, and last win was in February at Newcastle. Fourth at Pontefract last time. Must have a good each-way chance today.

The 7yo had his problems last year, just three runs, but was back to winning ways three weeks ago, a 2L victory and did it quite easily in the end. He posted high RPR ratings in his final three starts as a 5yo while racing off a 20 lb+ higher mark.

This veteran course- and distance-winning horse is very well handicapped if able to step forward from recent runs. He is an unlikely winner but could grab a place at decent odds from a career-low mark.

At 12/1, the 7-year-old stands a good chance of placing, as he benefits from a notably favourable handicap mark. He has proven himself as a winner over this C&D and is ready to perform well after a commendable reappearance.

Twilight Safari has not been placed in a race from six starts. Third in a hurdle race over 2m 1f at Sedgefield on his latest outing last month. Back on the flat today. Course, distance and going should suit, and he could well be able to win this race.
