Fierce Fortitude won at the end of last season in a maiden on turf and made his handicap debut on the all-weather on his reappearance, finishing a good second. He looks to be a progressive horse, and the return to turf looks an option. The form of his last run looks good.

Ammes won his first two hurdle races before finishing runner-up in a Listed hurdle at Wetherby at the end of October. After a break through the winter going, he reappeared at Lingfield on the AW when he probably needed the run. He has since been well beaten in two very competitive handicap hurdles at Cheltenham and Aintree and now reverts to turf for a stable in good form. Jason Hart has a decent record of 3-11 for the stable, and, dropping back to 10f, he looks on a workable mark. At around 9/2, he rates the Nap of the day.

Smart performer who hasn't been seen much since finishing 2nd in the 2024 Cambridgeshire but has posted a couple of good efforts this year at Kempton and back on turf at Musselburgh. On a dangerous mark and well worth a try at 10 furlongs, so should run well.

Happy to draw a line through one poor run when last seen and he makes his reappearance at a track he ran well at before. Finished a 0.75L 2nd on his only visit to Ripon, with the winner and the 3rd both winning since. His best form has come on a quick surface and he's gone well fresh. Race conditions should suit his hold up style and yard have been amongst the winners.

Mid-summer brace at Pontefract. Course-and-distance winner here. Ran fourteen days ago and will be fresher for that run. Definitely in the mix.

At 10/1, the 7-year-old emerges as a serious each-way contender, bolstered by his recent consistent form, which includes a close 2nd in April. He is now positioned at an enticing handicap mark, has the support of a 5 lb claiming jockey, and is well matched for the 1m 2f trip.

Is used to running at this level or higher. Taking the hood off LTO seemed to bring about some improvement when a 5l 6th of 9 here over 2f shorter. Has won at this trip before, and the mark is starting to look winnable.
