Some decent runs from the 4yo this year but he put his best foot forward last week when stepping up to this 8f trip. He won that apprentice riders' handicap a shade cosy by 1.5L. I'm not sure why he has a 2lb lower mark today but he does have the same jockey on board and he can now claim his full 5lb allowance. The selection will be racing off a 7lb higher mark in future races so today is the time to take advantage of his handy looking mark.

Runs well at this course and is a previous C/D winner off the same mark as this evening. The fav is very short odds-wise and is of no value. This one, at decent odds, should carry on its good form at Pontefract.
