Desperate Dan was aiming too high earlier in the season in class 2 and 3 company and did nothing. Lowered sights to class 4 at Sandown but didn't respond well to a bump received early. Backed to 9/2 last time at Goodwood and got it right at Windsor despite rolling about a bit late. Only 4 pounds higher here.

A progressive 3yo who was well backed and showed determination to win last time out. He's versatile distance wise and this trip will suit him. I think there's more improvement to come from him, given the stable's form and value on the price.

Navagio won 3 times in Ireland, the last being in July '23. He made a promising British debut when 3rd in the 2024 Lincoln but had generally struggled since, with only 1 placed finish in his next 10 starts. He had, though, dropped 19 lbs in the weights before finishing 3rd at Beverley two weeks ago. He is off the same mark here and looks like a good each-way bet with 4 places on offer.

Third career win recently at Pontefract and first in this country at a huge 25/1 price. Still showed bags of energy at the end of that race and isn't too badly treated here for another potential good run.

Transparent came back into form with a fifth place last time at Newbury in a weak-looking race. Could go well at a big price in ideal-looking conditions.

There doesn't seem to be a standout performer in this lineup, and Garden Oasis seems to have as much chance as almost anything else. Has won 3 times so far this season and has kept his form well over the years. Has run in 76 races and has an 18% plus strike rate.
