Yorkshire Glory has won 6 of his 24 starts and has been in great form recently, winning 4 of his last 5 starts, with all wins coming here at Newcastle. He won by 1.25 lengths here last Friday in an apprentice handicap, and with no penalty can win again.

Yet to win this winter but has posted some very solid efforts, as he did when third off this mark over course and distance last time. He will surely be striking very soon.

No extra inside the final furlong over 7 furlongs here last time out and runner-up beaten a length and three quarters on penultimate start. This drop in trip appeals and Lauren Young's 5 pound allowance looks valuable.

A chance is taken on Invitorio being race-fit after an absence of 154 days. Arguably he was kept too busy last September. He has dropped nine pounds since switching to Ruth Carr's yard. He went very close off a mark of 58 when unable to get a clear run on 11 September. A reproduction of that would give the four-year-old a chance of making the frame now rated 56.

This horse looks nicely handicapped, based on best form in higher-grade races with his previous yard. Showed marked improvement last time on his second start for this stable and looks likely to improve again. Has a useful-looking piece of previous form here at Newcastle, so with K T O'Neill booked, looks set for a big race, which he should be capable of winning off this mark on the terms.

Big Gypsy King is a 4yo gelding trained by James Moffatt and ridden by Andrew Mullen. He has only won once for the previous yard over 7f for Oliver Cole at Kempton off 46 ??' a 4.75l trouncing of Aim For The Bull, who incidentally won his last start off 51. Such a unusual move to the current yard, who never have sprinters, so why now? Oddly, the owners didn't change (Tyson Fury, as the name of the horse suggests). He runs today off 51 and is dropped in trip to 6f for only the second time in a moderate Class 6 handicap sprint. Given the highly unusual profile of this horse, an each-way play is warranted.
