I think this horse is easily the best handicapped horse in the race and if he can see the trip out then he'll win simple as that. This horse won a novice over 1m2f at Chelmsford in easy fashion back in October before scoring on handicap debut over 1m4f at Wolves (the 2nd has since bolted up next time out). Having failed to fire at Southwell he was freshened up and ran a good 2nd at Kempton over 1m3f just 9 days ago, finishing fine but more kept on galloping to the line rather than finding any turn of foot over the trip. Today's hike up to 2m is worth a try, he shapes like he wants further so this could be his bag. He's very nicely bred by Derby winner Masar and out of an unraced mare who's a daughter of a dual group 1 winner over 1m2f. This horse is also a half-brother to Hamada who looked special when winning over an extended 1m5f in group 3 company back in 2018 before passing away. There is stamina there in the pedigree and I'm certain he's better than this current mark of 84.
