Dapper Guest is climbing the rankings but a last chance is given, having bolted up at Chelmsford two months back and off today's mark. Kept on doggedly into fourth at Southwell a month ago. Lingfield will suit the finishing speed.

3rd at Wolverhampton recently on first run, beaten by less than a length after 103 days despite hitting traffic towards the run-in. Up one pound for that, which is also one higher than the last visit here at Lingfield when winning on the same mark. Has come close the other three times when racing here.

Society Man did well to get up last time at Kempton and looks to have more in the locker off this mark, especially with his strong finish and proven record over 7??'8f. The break could have freshened him up, and he’s definitely one to keep onside if he gets a fair pace to chase.

Not too many races for the 3yo this year. He has posted a couple of high RPR ratings in defeat from two of his last four races. He was rated 11 lb higher on his return this year, plus another 5 lb is now taken off by the jockey. He’s making his polytrack debut in this handicap, and it could bring about some improvement.

Something must have gone amiss with Christian David in his last two runs, as he went from hero to zero with two uncharacteristic bad runs. Prior to that, he was consistently progressive.
