7:40 Kempton Tips

Vitalline has won six races from 6f to 7f. Fourth over 7f at Chelmsford City on his latest outing earlier this month. Dropped in trip to 6f and the surface should suit. Seems well treated and could well be able to win this race.

Had been in good form prior to the last two starts. Does like to come from behind and so does need some luck in running. Should go close with a clear passage.

Smasher should run a solid, competitive race back at his favoured Kempton over 6f, where he scored by a neck off 53 in October and has strong course and distance form to call on despite that laboured ninth last time when doing too much early. With cheekpieces added today for his focus, he has proven wins in this class and off higher marks, plus he loves the all??'weather. If he stays on gamely up the straight, he can hit the frame or better if settling.

Tends to run more regularly at Wolves and has won there, Lingfield, and Ffos Las on the turf tracks more often than not. Third latest at Wolves after a 4 lb bump up when winning on the track prior to that. Has won on a much higher mark and could run well again now doing it across six furlongs rather than seven.

I'm not sure if Haziym has any talent at all, but Tony Carroll has kept faith in him for 3 years without a sniff of him contributing to his board and lodgings. He started with a rating of 100, which was ridiculous, and is now on 55 in a Class 6 handicap. He just needs to break well to have a chance. Stable on form.

This could be one of my worst bets of all time, or one of my best! World of Darcy did improve last time out at Lingfield, running OK until the home stretch. That was a big improvement from the total flunks during a disappointing turf campaign. If (and it's a big if) there's progression from that, and the stable are in form, then we've got one that could finally be over the slump.

Voodoo Ray showed a bit more when finishing fourth on heavy ground at Bath in October. He runs off a very low handicap mark and, with the seven pounds his jockey can claim, carries just 8-7 tonight. If Gary Moore has managed to get him tuned up, he could outrun his odds and nab a place. Connections have been known to have a tickle at Kempton, so any support would be interesting.
