5:25 Kempton Tips

The 7-year-old has demonstrated his ability to win races and is currently in excellent form after several recent top finishes. He notably secured a narrow second place at Kempton three weeks ago and is expected to be a strong each-way contender at favourable odds as he returns to a lower class.

Bottom-weight USS Constitution won here in February and looks interesting today. He won on his second start at Ascot in September 2022 before going to Hong Kong. He failed to even be placed in 17 runs there, but the win at Kempton was in his first start back in Britain. He was then third, beaten just 2.25 lengths, at Lingfield before not being suited by fast turf ground at Doncaster last month. He is dropped 1 lb from that and looks a good each-way bet with four places on offer.

The wide draw is not ideal for Gennadius here, but the falling mark is, and now he's been gelded there's a chance of improvement. Particularly after the last showing at Southwell, which showed a bit of promise late on. That was a much tougher prospect than this assignment, and he could be able to defy the wide berth and get involved.
